The tall ship the Jeanie Johnston has seen plenty of adventure, and heard plenty of tall tales, in the course of her sailing life, and this Halloween the ship will be hosting a Family Day with a difference on Monday 31st October.

Amongst the highlights of the day will be the story telling sessions, including a few ghost stories which may "shiver your timbers!" Children are encouraged to come in fancy dress, and there will be prizes for the best costumes. The activity programme will feature all the traditional Halloween games, such as bobbing for apples, pass the parcel, and musical chairs, and there will be face painting, to add a little extra fun to those costumes! Tickets cost €5 per child for a two hour activity session.

And whilst the children are entertained on board, Mum and Dad will have plenty to occupy them, as they learn to Segway! Adults will be given the chance to try out the Segways, which are based close to where the Jeanie Johnston is berthed at Custom House Quay, at no extra charge.
