Commercial Tenants
The biggest employer to move to the Docklands in 2007 was PricewaterhouseCoopers with the opening of its 230,000ft2 headquarters building housing 2,100 employees at Spencer Dock.
The emergence of a new legal quarter in the Docklands continued with Matheson Ormsby Prentice relocating to new 133,000 ft2 offices at Sir John Rogerson's Quay. It joins other prominent legal firms in the area such as McCann Fitzgerald, Mason Hayes Curran, Beauchamps and Dillon Eustace. In July 2007, BCM Hanby Wallace announced plans to relocate its head office to new 150,000 ft2 offices at Number 2, Grand Canal Square.
Other significant businesses to locate to Docklands in 2007 included Arup Consulting Engineers, which employs more than 300 people, international financial services firm Fortis Bank, which moved to Spencer Dock, and Accenture, which occupied No 1 Grand Canal Square.
