Affordable Housing
It is a policy of the Dublin Docklands Area Master Plan 2008 that 20% of new residential units within the overall area be allocated for social and affordable housing. Affordable homes are distributed across developments in the Docklands area. Built to a high specification, qualified applicants can now take advantage of this opportunity to live in the heart of the bustling Docklands area, conveniently located close to the centre of city of Dublin. A range of spacious one, two bed apartments are now available to purchase. To qualify for one of the remaining available affordable homes the purchaser must be a first time buyer, and an owner occupier, earning below €58,000 for a sole purchaser, and €75,000 for joint purchasers.
There are no affordable housing units for sale at present.
Service Charges
All apartments sold by the Docklands Authority are all subject to an annual service charge or management fee, payable to the management company for the development in which the apartment is situated. Do I already have to be on Dublin City Council's Affordable Housing List?
Although you do not need to have been on a housing authority's affordable purchaser list, for administration purposes, we will require you to register with a housing authority in order to complete a sale with you. This is a straight forward procedure and costs €50.00.
