Making A Planning Application

The Authority currently has no powers to certify retrospective development. This is development that has commenced and or completed prior to making the application, or during the Authority's assessment of the application. All such applications will be invalidated.

Following a recent High Court judgment in relation to the Section 25 certification process that governs granting of exempted development status in the Docklands area, the Dublin Docklands Development Authority has completed an assessment of its planning procedures and introduced a number of amendments to the Section 25 process.

There are now 4 stages that need to be followed to make a planning application for a section 25 certificate:

  1. Pre-Application
  2. Registration
  3. Third Party Submission & Assessment
  4. Presentation & Board Decision

All Forms & Guidance Notes
