Dublin Docklands Shows off new Hoardings

The hoardings have been designed by design agency BFK who commissioned illustrator Chris Judge to depict the vibrancy of life along the thriving Docklands quaysides. Alongside children, mothers and businessmen, a few very unexpected characters pop up – who said Elvis was dead!
Loretta Lambkin, Director of Marketing, Docklands Authority, says: “The new hoardings animate the Docklands in a way that can’t be done with standard hoardings. We chose the work of Chris Judge as it cleverly reflects the variety of people living and working in Docklands, the breadth of events that take place here and the way in which the entire area continues to grow and regenerate.”

New hoardings, illustrated by Trish o’ Flaherty, have also been installed around the site of the Sean O’Casey Community Centre in East Wall which is being rebuilt.
The hoardings form part of the Docklands Authority arts strategy which focuses
on expanding opportunities for residents, visitors and workers to experience
the arts and provide further energy to the area.
