Bank Holiday weekend closure at Busarus and Connolly stop to facilitate overhead line works

NOTICE


We would like to inform you of the following works coming up on the Line C1 extension from Busaras to The Point.

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND CLOSURE AT BUSARAS AND CONNOLLY STOP TO FACILITATE OVERHEAD LINE WORKS Abbey Street Stop will be the temporary terminus for the Luas Red Line services from start of service on Saturday morning 1st August 2009, until end of service on Monday 3rd August 2009. This is to facilitate the works to start powering up the system.

POWERING UP THE SYSTEM
From Saturday 1st August 2009 onwards overhead electricity cables will be installed on the extension of the Luas Red Line from Busáras to The Point. As with the existing system, power for the Luas comes from overhead cables. Once installed, overhead cables will be live and will remain live. You are reminded for your own safety to keep clear of the cables and poles.
