Enterprise Development Programme
The Enterprise Development Programme was created by the Docklands Authority to meet the needs of local self employed business men and women and to raise the level of interest in self employment among Docklanders.
How it Works
There are a number of elements to the programme. Firstly, the Docklands Authority makes Enterprise Office Units in East Wall available to local entrepreneurs at reasonable rates. Secondly, a local Enterprise Forum has been established and the Docklands Authority publishes regular newsletters featuring docklands enterprise initiatives. The third element relates to training which takes place at a number of levels – business, community and schools.
The Right Result
The combination of these activities has resulted in the establishment of an environment where local enterprise is encouraged and developed with much success.
